Crock and Tile Market Church (Gangwashi Jiaotang )
Located at 57 South Xisi Street, Crock and Tile Market Church can accommodate 500 worshippers, and contains an office, chapel and baptismal font. The church was first built at the beginning of the 20th century to house the London Missionary Society. Since the merger of 1958, the church has been part of the Chinese Christian Council, and its formal name is now the Gangwashi Protestant Church of Beijing. It was closed during the "cultural revolution". After undergoing repairs it was reopened on July 13, 1980.
Worship services are held every Sunday. There are also Bible classes on Tuesday evenings and prayer-meetings on Thursday mornings. The congregation consists of both Chinese and foreign Christians.
