China designates 20 service outsourcing demonstration cities

The General Office of the State Council recently approved 20 cities, including Beijing, to become China's service outsourcing demonstration cities. The State Council will implement a series of encouragement and support measures in these 20 pilot cities in order to accelerate the development of China's service outsourcing industry.

The 20 pilot cities are Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Chongqing, Dalian, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Harbin, Chengdu, Nanjing, Xi'an, Jinan, Hangzhou, Hefei, Nanchang, Changsha, Daqing, Suzhou and Wuxi.

According to the approval response written by the General Office of the State Council, it will implement a series of encouragement and support policies in these 20 cities. The General Office requires that the Ministry of Commerce work with relevant departments and local governments to strengthen guidance and services for the pilot programs.

The State Council also requires that the promotion of the service outsourcing industry becomes an important approach to advancing the industry structure adjustments, transforming the modes of foreign trade development and increasing employment opportunities for college graduates.
