A real-name coach ticketing system will be promoted between central China's Hunan Province and the coastal city of Shanghai during the upcoming 2010 Expo, the Xiaoxiang Morning Post reports.
Starting May 1, 2010, names, ID numbers and contact numbers will be needed on ticket forms. The system will last through October 31 of this year.
A transportation conference held in Hunan Province on Tuesday discussed the details of this system. To ensure transportation safety during the Shanghai Expo, most important vehicles traveling between Hunan and Shanghai will be equipped with GPS.
Currently there are about 60 passenger coaches and over 7,000 vehicles for freight shuttle running between Hunan and Shanghai.
