Programme Introduction
 
In the Himalayas on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, there is a snow-capped mountain as high as into the clouds. In this high-altitude life forbidden region, there is a group of valiant Tibetan soldiers. They protect the plateau as loyally as the eagle in the sky and as silently as the snow mountain. They stand proudly between the sky and the earth and climb the mountains under the clouds. In the thin air one could hear the exhortation from soldier fellows: "My dear brother, please exhale slowly and inhale slowly, we could only live once, everyone would cherish it, but if our country needs my life, I will not hesitate." 

In Tibet, a troop of the Chengdu Military Region is carrying out an investigation drill targeting at high altitude regions.

A soldier named Li Erwa's training result is influenced by his love affairs, the brigadier Lei Dong advised him to see the psychotherapist Shen Hong. Under Shen Hong's treatment, Li Erwa returns to the troop happily, but Shen Hong, although she is a psychotherapist herself, could not solve the impassable problem between her husband Lei Dong and her that has been lasting for two years.

The drill is going to start, however, the first regiment, with an honorary title, did not show up with the prescribed number. For this Lei Dong and the regimental commander Hong Bo comes into furious conflict with each other.  　

In order to collect a series of statistics for battle in high and cold mountains, the leader of the military squad Suolang Danzeng led the squad to climb to the altitude of 6000 meters and attained the precious data for battle. Due to overstrain Li Erwa died of anoxic cerebral apoplexy. In order for the informationization in high and cold regions, the engineer Gu Xiaozhou gets ill because of exhaustion. In order to protect the true talents, Lei Dong sees off his soldier fellow with tears. 

On the snow-capped mountains with thin air, in the high-altitude life forbidden regions, the valiant soldiers are still insisting, climbing and marching forward. Soldiers' advice is spreading in the troop: "My dear brother, please exhale slowly and inhale slowly, we could only live once, everyone would cherish it, but if our country needs my life, I will not hesitate."
 
Art Troupe of the Political Department of Chengdu Military Region
The Art Troupe of the Political Department of Chengdu Military Region was established on July 1st, 2004 from the combination of the previous Creation Division of the Political Department of Chengdu Military Region, the previous War Flag Song and Dance Troupe, the Drama Troupe, the Acrobatics and the Center for TV Art. 

Before the combination, most of the above mentioned troupes were established in period of war and had a long history and a glorious tradition. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, they produced many great works, such as the songs Dispatched by Chairman Mao, On the Golden Mountain of Beijing, New Songs Awa People Sing, Well Done, the dances Work Songs for Handcarts and Seizing Luding Bridge, the drama Stories in Sentries, etc. Since the new period, the Troupe has produced a great many excellent and popular works, such as the long novel Age of Heroes, the reportage Whole-Hearted Devotion and Li Ao, the poems A collection of Yang Xinhuo's Poems, the large-scale opera Alignment in Liang Mountain, the large-scale song and dance Light of Tibet, the large-scale dramas To Go in Accompany, Stories in the Airport, A Most Beautiful Place, Waiting for You in the Heaven, Attitude of Lives, the dances Spring Tide, Mount Qomolangma, Highland Barley, Everything Goes Well, the TV series Breaking through the Blocks, The Last Caravan in the Army, Our Army of the Services, Soldiers Sortie, the sketches Men Squad Leader, Women Soldiers, One, Two, One, Sentries in Bushes, Love for the Plateau, Moonlight and Meadow, New Soldiers' Target Practice, China's first Qiang-minority musical Sunflowers, Being Your Bride Tonight, the acrobatics Ballet on the Lamp, A Xi Jumping onto the Moon, Double Persons and Double Swing, Lifting with Only One Hand, Silk Lifting, Sticks, Dragon Lion and Unconstrained Martial Arts Chivalry, the canvas Alignment with Yi Minority, etc. The Troupe cultivated and brought up a great many outstanding army writers and artists, and it made great contributions to safeguarding the southwest frontier and enhancing the construction of the country and the army in different periods.

In recent years, the Troupe also participated in a lot of domestic and international professional competitions and attained the Wenhua Award, the Mao Dun Literature Award, the PLA's Art Award, the Flying Goddess Award, the Golden Eagle Award, the Award of Five Firsts, the Award for China's Population Culture, the Lotus Award, the Golden Star Award, the Cao Yu Literature Award, the Monaco Princess' Award, and the France's President's Award. The Troupe also participated in the Army and the Public's Art Gala for Welcoming the Spring Festival, the CCTV Spring Festival Gala and other domestic and international commercial performances and received both good social and economic benefits.
