Beijing is the largest city in China. Long journey in this city makes you to get some unbelievable experiences. Beijing didn’t end to surprise me. Apart the most known tourist sites like Great wall, Summer Palace, Tiananmen, Forbidden City, Olympic Park, Beijing zoo, Lama Temple, Yuanminyuan, The Place, etc. Beijing gets you more and more wonderful places to visit to enjoy your journey in China.

Nowadays, when you came in Beijing, you get anxious not to see where are the houses, the real ancient Chinese culture as you saw in many Chinese movies like Shaolin. Don’t worry! Just take subway line 4 southeast Exit, arriving at Pin An Li Station, take buses 111, 118, 107, 701, 823, 13, 42 or 12 to get BeihaiBeimen bus station. Bravo! You arrived at Shichahai Lake.

Shichahai is the group of three Lakes in Xicheng District where you can take round in ship, viewing natural environment, watching lion dance, hearing ancient Chinese music and enjoying tasting Chinese food. Shichahai is close to Lotus market where you can get traditional Chinese food and souvenir. My visit at Shichahai made me forgetting my nervous feelings. In surrounding these Lakes, ask about GongWangFu (Gong’s Mansion), ChunWangFu (Chun’s Mansion), the former Residence of Meilan Fang (Master of Beijing opera), GuangHua Temple and the Greatest Residence of Hutong and Courtyard. By visiting these places, you make sure you saw ancient Chinese mansions exactly as you watch Shaolin movies.

Note this: Take your wife or girlfriend to visit Shichahai and surrounding mansions. She will never forget you. Once again, thanks to E-Beijing to make me discover this wonderful area in Beijing.
