2016 Walking around Kunming Lake for International Friends was held on Oct. 22 at the Kunming Lake of the Summer Palace. The event is jointly organized by Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Beijing NGO Association for International Exchanges, Foreign Affairs Office of Beijing Municipal People's Government and other 6 organizations.

On a beautiful autumn day, many foreigners attended their activity with 8 km around the Kunming lake. Kunming lake is the central lake on the grounds of the Summer Palace. Together with the Longevity Hill, Kunming Lake forms the key landscape features of the Summer Palace gardens.

After some dance performances of foreign students and the official setting-off ceremony the walkers started the walk around the lake.

It's a beautiful wide area for walking along the side of lake. The view is great from every single point. Famous attractions amongst this area are numerous, including Seventeen-Arch Bridge, Bronze Ox, Nanhu Island, Hall of Embracing the Universe and many more.

We all enjoyed a great activity with fresh air and lots of students from around the world. We say a big congratulation for the winner of this walk. Unfortunately, it was not us.

After the event finished we exited the park through the East Palace Gate to see the court area with numbers of houses and halls.
