Miyun County, occupying an area of 2,335.6 square kilometers,is divided into two towns and 22 townships with a population of 420,000. It is 75 kilometers from the city center.  Miyun Reservoir, which was built in 1958, is one of the largest reservoirs in North China. Local products in this County include haws,chestnuts and walnuts.
