Fengtai District, with a population of 790,000 and covering an area of 304.2 square kilometers,is divided into 13 neighborhood committees and six townships. As Beijing's major transportation gateway in the southwest, most trains come and go through this district. Fengtai District is also famous for its reputation as the "kingdom of vegetables production" and "township of flowers."
