On the morning of January 6, 2009, Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau held the Kick-off Ceremony of Exit-Entry Document Handling Stations at Financial Street and CBD at Exit-Entry Administration Department. Li Changyou--Deputy Director-general of Bureau of Exit and Entry of the Ministry of Public Security, Yu Hongyuan--Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau and Deputy Director-general of Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, Jia Tongbin--Director of Foreign Citizen Exit-Entry Administration Department, Bureau of Exit and Entry of the Ministry of Public Security, Jia Keming--Director of Exit-Entry Administration Department, Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, Wu Xiangyang--Director of Development and Reform Commission of Xicheng District, Chang Shuqi--Director of Financial Service Office of the People’s Government of Chaoyang District and Deputy Director of Beijing CBD Administrative Commission, and representatives of some financial institutions and foreign-invested enterprises attended the ceremony.
According to the introduction by Yu Hongyuan (Deputy Director-General of Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau), in order to serve the capital's economic construction and the building of an international metropolis, Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau has set up Exit-Entry Document Handling Stations at Financial Street and CBD so as to provide services for enterprises and persons registered and filed in chamber of commerce or administrative commission in the above regions. The business scope of the stations mainly covers the handling of applications for visa and residence permit by foreigners, and the handling of registration and filing of corporations with Exit-Entry Permit (EEP) to HK / Macau. In next step, Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau will set up Exit-Entry Document Handling Stations at Zhongguancun, Yizhuang Economic and Technological Development Zone, and other feasible areas.
Financial Street in Xicheng District and CBD in Chaoyang District serve respectively as functional area of financial industry and modern business area of Beijing, where a number of financial supervision authorities, financial institutions and many famous Chinese and foreign enterprises converge, with financial executives, Chinese and foreign staffs totaling more than 300,000.
