Resume of Vice Mayor Zhang Gong

Mr. Zhang Gong, born in Beijing in August 1961, of Han Nationality, started his career in August 1983 and joined the Communist Party of China in April 1992. He received his master’s degree of Economics (majoring in Business Management) from an in-service graduate program at the Capital University of Economics and holds the title of Professor-Level Senior Engineer. He is currently Alternate Member of the 19th CPC Central Committee, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, Executive Vice Mayor of Beijing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality.

The previous leadership positions he held include:

Deputy Director and Director of the Beijing Electric Appliance Institute;

General Manager of Beijing Transformer Plant;

Board Director, Deputy General Manager and a member of the CPC Standing Committee of Beijing Mechanical & Electrical Industry (Group) Co., Ltd.;

Board Director, Deputy General Manager and a member of the CPC Standing Committee of Beijing Jingcheng Machinery Electric Holding Co., Ltd.;

Deputy Director-General of Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and member of Beijing Municipal Industrial Work Committee;

Deputy Director-General, Member and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform;

Vice Mayor and member of the Party Leadership Group of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality;

Party Secretary of the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality;
