Resume of Vice-Mayor Yin Hejun

Mr. Yin Hejun, born in Gujiao, Shanxi Province in January 1963, of the Han nationality, joined the Communist Party of China in June 1983 and then began his career in September 1983. He is a doctor of engineering, researcher, obtained his Master’s degree in electromagnetic field and microwave technology at the Institute of Electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He is currently member of the Standing Committee of CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, Vice Mayor of Beijing, member of the Party Leadership Group of the municipal government, and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Administrative Committee of Zhongguancun Science Park.

The previous leadership positions he held include: deputy director of the Third Research Lab, Assistant Director of the Institute, Executive Deputy Director of the Institute, and then Director of the Institute at the CAS Institute of Electronics; Director of the CAS Bureau of High-Tech Research and Development; Vice President and member of the Party Leadership Group of CAS; Vice Minister and member of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Science and Technology.


He is in charge of science and technology, economy and information application, state-owned assets supervision and administration, quality and technology supervision, and intellectual property related affairs.

He takes charge of Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology (Beijing Municipal Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense Office), Beijing Municipal State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, Beijing Municipal Administration of Quality and Technology Supervision, Beijing Intellectual Property Office, the Administrative Committee of Zhongguancun Science Park, and the Administrative Committee of Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area.

He also communicates with Beijing Association for Science and Technology and Beijing Communications Administration.
