Resume of Vice-Mayor Yang Bin
Mr. Yang Bin was born in Changyi, Shandong Province in December 1961, of the Han nationality. He started his career in September 1983 and joined the Communist Party of China in May 1985. Mr. Yang has a PhD in economics, obtained his master’s degree (majoring in industrial economics) from an in-service graduate program at Renmin University of China, and holds the professional title of Professor-level Senior Engineer. He now serves as Vice Mayor of Beijing, and Member of the Party Leadership Group of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality.
The previous leadership positions he held include:
Deputy Manager, Deputy Secretary of the Party General Branch and Manager of Beijing First Urban Construction Development Group;
Deputy Manager of Beijing Urban Construction Group Co., Ltd;
Deputy General Manager of Beijing Urban Construction Group;
Deputy Party Secretary, Board Director and General Manager of Beijing Subway Construction Management Co., Ltd;
Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee, Board Director, and Deputy General Manager of Beijing Railway Construction and Management Co., Ltd;
Party Secretary and Chairman of Beijing MTR Construction Administration Corporation;
Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director General of Beijing Major Projects Office;
Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director General of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-rural Development;
Secretary of CPC Tongzhou District Committee.
Mr. Yang Bin is in charge of environmental protection, transportation and the construction of Beijing’s new airport.
Mr. Yang Bin oversees the work of Beijing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport, Beijing Air Defense and Disaster Prevention Network, Tiananmen Area Administrative Committee of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, and Administrative Committee of Beijing West Railway Station Area.
Mr. Yang is in charge of liaison with Beijing Municipal Postal Administration and China Railway Beijing Group Co., Ltd.
