Resume of Vice Mayor Yin Yong

Mr. Yin Yong, of Han nationality, born in Wuhan, Hubei Province in August 1969, joined the Communist Party of China in May 1994 and began his career in January 1997. He is a doctor of engineering and obtained his master’s degree in system engineering from Tsinghua University. He’s currently Vice Mayor of Beijing and Member of the Party Leadership Group of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality.

The previous leadership positions he held include:

Deputy Director of the Reserves Management Division and then the Strategic Research Division of the Reserves Management Department, State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE);

General Manager (division-chief level) of the Investment Company of the People’s Republic of China (Singapore);

Deputy Director-General of the Reserves Management Department, SAFE;

Chief and Member of the CPC Committee (deputy-director-general level) of the Central Foreign Exchange Business Center, SAFE;

Chief and Deputy Party Secretary (director-general level) of the Central Foreign Exchange Business Center, SAFE;

Assistant Governor, member of the Party Committee, and then Deputy Governor and member of the Party Committee of the People’s Bank of China.

 

Mr. Yin Yong is in charge of commerce, industrial and commercial administration, the supervision and management of food and drugs, finance, overseas Chinese affairs, letters and calls, and the pilot program of further opening up the service sector.

Mr. Yin Yong oversees the work of Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce (Port Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality), Beijing Administration for Industry and Commerce, Beijing Food and Drug Administration, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Financial Work, Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, Office of Letters and Calls of CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and Beijing Municipal People’s Government, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Grain, Counselors Office of Beijing Municipal People’s Government (Beijing Institute of Culture and History), and Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau.

Mr. Yin is in charge of liaison with China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council (CCPIT Beijing), Beijing Private and Individual Business Association, Beijing Customs, and Beijing Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau.
