Vice Mayor Cheng Hong

Prior to her public service, Ms. Cheng Hong taught economics at Beijing Wuzi University where she was Associate Dean of the Economics Department, Director of the Graduate Department and Director of the Institute of Circulation Economics. She later served as Deputy Director-General of Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce, Deputy Director-General of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Deputy Mayor of Chaoyang District, Director-General of the Administration Board of Beijing Central Business District (CBD), Vice Chairperson of Beijing Municipal Committee of China Democratic League, Chairperson of Beijing Federation of Industry and Commerce. In January 2008, Ms. Cheng Hong was elected Vice Mayor of Beijing.

Mrs. Cheng Hong was a deputy to the Tenth National People's Congress and is a member of the Eleventh CPPCC National Committee.

Responsibilities: Mrs. Cheng Hong is in charge of ethnic affairs, commerce, administration of industry and commerce and affairs related to overseas Chinese.
