Vice Mayor Chen Gang

The previous leadership positions Mr. Chen Gang held include Secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee at the Architecture School, Tsinghua University, Assistant Mayor of Liuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Director of Comprehansive Management Office of Liuzhou, Deputy Director-General of Beijing Municipal Commission of Urban and Rural Planning, Deputy Director-General and then Director-General of Beijing Municipal Commission of Urban Planning (Office of Capital Planning and Construction Commission). In October 2006, Mr. Chen was elected Vice Mayor of Beijing.

Responsibilities: Mr. Chen Gang assists Mayor in city planning and takes charge of housing and urban-rural development, land resources and major rail transport projects.
