Mr. Ji Lin is an alternate member of the Seventeenth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), standing member of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, Executive Vice Mayor and Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of Beijing Municipal Government.

The previous leadership positions Mr. Ji Lin held include Deputy Secretary and then Secretary of the Renmin University Committee of the Communist Youth League (CYL ), Deputy Secretary and then Secretary of CYL Beijing Municipal Committee; Secretary of the CPC Miyun County Committee, Standing Member of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, Deputy Secretary and Secretary of the Political and Legislative Affairs Committee of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, Vice Mayor of Beijing. In May 2007, he was elected executive vice mayor of Beijing.

Mr. Ji Lin is a deputy to the Eleventh National People's Congress.

Responsibilities: Mr. Ji Lin is in charge of day-to-day work of Beijing Municipal Government and responsible for development and reform, public finance, supervision, foreign affairs, Hong Kong and Macau affairs, state-owned assets supervision and management, local taxation, statistics and financial industry.
