The most characteristic show in Blue Zoo is sharks and rays of different shapes and forms, especial 11 Zebra sharks are the spotlight of our aquarium. Zebra shark: Latin name: Stegostoma fasciatum, warmsea benthic fish, main food mollusk and the crustacean, egg life, distributes in the tropic sea area of west Pacific Ocean, Great Barrier Reef, northwest sea area of Indian Ocean, East China Sea and South China Sea. Zebra shark has unusual appearance: there are remarkable arris bumps on its side, greatly lengthened tail fin is nearly as long as a half of the body. Its color and design has big differences between its juvenile period and adult period: in its juvenile period, it is called zebra shark because thick black and white stripes cover its whole body; After growing up, black and white stripes change into light brown spots, just like leopard,so it is called leopard shark. It is docile, likes to act in the night, freely shuttles back and forth in the coral reef hole, won't easily affront same species. But if it is angry, it will fiercely attack the enemy with its long and powerful big tail. It modestly keeps away from the humanity. It is rare that Zebra shark has no record of hurting people.

In the aquarium, the most savage shark is Sand Tiger Shark. Sand Tiger Shark's scientific name: raggedtooth shark,

belongs to Isurus - Carchariidae, a kind of common shark in tropic and subtropic sea areas. Sand Tiger Shark has 6 rows of teeth. Except that outside 2 rows of teeth can be used as real teeth, other rows all are "lying supine" for spare, covering each other like tiles on the roof. In case most outside teeth fall off, teeth in the inside row immediately move front to fill the tooth hole. With such teeth, it is allowed easily to go well to catch the prey which is the most difficult to catch.
