WHITE SPACE BEIJING was founded in February 2004. WHITE SPACE BEIJING is an independent Chinese program-gallery, directed by Tian Yuan and collaborating with ALEXANDER OCHS GALLERIES BERLIN I BEIJING.

Already in 1992 Alexander Ochs has started to exhibit Chinese artists in Europe and in 1997 he founded his own gallery, which is especially for east-Asian artists in the center of Berlin. Hereby WHITE SPACE BEIJING is having an important European partner connected to the International Art world.

WHITE SPACE BEIJING & ALEXANDER OCHS GALLERIES BERLIN organized solo exhibitions with a lot of artists like: Fang Lijun, Xu Bing, Yang Shaobin, Yin Xiuzhen, Yue Minjun, Wang Yin, Yang Maoyuan, Miao Xiaochun, Chi Peng, Rong Rong & inri, Shi Jing and others. For group shows, projects in Museens and biennales the galleries cooperated with artists like Lu Shengzhong, Wang Guangyi, Zhang Xiaogang, Qin Yufen, Zhu Jinshi, Qin Fengling, Song Dong, Hai Bo, Muchen & Shao Yinong, Shan Fan and others. WHITE SPACE BEIJING also invited European artists to Beijing like: Joerg Immendorff, Franz Gertsch, A.R. Penck, Tapies and Hermann Nitsch.
