Guanfu Classic Art Museum is located at the famous ancient culture street, West Liulichang Street. It is the first museum run by the local people in Beijing. The museum was built up officially on January 18, 1997.

 
The museum is an ancient style building with two floors. The acreage of its exhibition hall is 150 square meters. When you enter the exhibition hall, you will be surrounded by the simply and elegant utensils and melodious sounds of ancient music instruments. You may feel like striding across the time and space of history just in a moment. There are ceilings weaved by flex rope, curtains weaved by the reeds, sleeping bed made of Suzhou purple elm in Qing Dynasty, pear plancon engraving in ancient style on the corner, elm cabinet in Ming Dynasty, wood ware in different material and ages, green porcelain duration the period of the end of Ming Dynasty and beginning of Qing Dynasty, study room utensils in ancient times, trunks, cases, bags and boxes in different size and type, all those make the exhibition hall looks like an old-timey household place. All the things in the house, no mater the flower carved board enchased in the wall or the rolling equipment used for making fruit juice, have a long history. 

The exhibition styles and contents here are varies regularly, it provides the people with the fresh feelings. The museum has held "Art & Craft Exhibition in Ming and Qing Dynasty", "Porcelain Exhibition in Song, Liao, Jin and Yuan Dynasties" and "Ming and Qing Dynasties Furniture Exhibition". All those exhibitions reached the effect of gathering the exquisite works and attracting the people. Although the contents of the exhibitions are different, they are all basically characterized with the style of opening, mini type, kindness and folk-custom. There are flying sound of the ancient music instrument and comfortable carefree illustration of the guide. People can drink a cup of sweet tea tasting restlessly near the window and enjoy the kindness of touching the collecting works at will. All those has constituted the special style of this museum.
