Poly Theatre, affiliated with China Poly Group Corporation, is situated in the heart of Beijing Municipality within superior geographic location. Since its official opening in 1991,the Theatre has successfully received 2,000 shows preformed by more than 200 arts troupes from home and abroad.

In order to expand cultural activities of Poly Theatre and to promote Sino-foreign exchange of cultural arts, China Poly Group Corporation Commenced major renovation and interior decoration on the Theatre in December 1999.Works will be completed by October 2000 for re-opening.

With the renovation works in completion, Poly Theatre Will be capable of organizing the performances of large-scale operas, orchestras, ballets and music plays, etc. Audiences will be poised to enjoy the shows under excellent artistic atmosphere with superior audio effects, elegant and cozy surrounding. At the same time, Poly Plaza, equipped with 288 Guest rooms, coupled with restaurants serving Chinese and western cuisine, provides additional services, including the holding of large-scale conferences.

Poly Theatre has been designated to be the main venue for the upcoming Beijing International Music Festival as well as other major artistic events.Net width 30meters,net depth 31 meters, 1,338 seats, another 100 seats may be added in the orchestra pit. Eight catsliding balcony boxes and two VIP boxes.

The main control desk in the lighting system is world famous ADB Vision-10 and PHOENIX-5 for backup desk. The main control desk and the backup are equipped with high-frequency remote control devices and may be synchronized for warm backup. The system comes with 732 dimmer channels. The main Dim System is digital adjustable Eurodim-2 cabinet series with high standard stability and performance. All lightings are imported equipment. The Theatre is installed with two rows of F.O.H, one row of ear lights, five rows of down lights, five rows of side lights, follow lights, scenery projection lamp, ceiling lights, ground lights and various types of special effect stage lightings to meet the demand of various types of performances.

The electronic audio equipment of the Theatre consists of the world-renowned Soundcraft Five brand with 44-track sound adjustment console, using professional Crown amplifier. All speakers are JBL products. The whole system is computer-controlled to form stereophonic audio mode with left, center and right tracks.
