The main officer of the city of Kyiv is an elected by territorial community mayor. Kyiv local state administration exercises executive power in the city. Local self-government in the city of Kyiv execute territorial communities of the city, districts in the city, village Pushcha Vodytsya, elected by the representative bodies - local, districts in the city, village councils and their executive bodies, in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine and the Law "On local self-government in Ukraine" with peculiarities determined by the Law of Ukraine "On the capital of Ukraine – hero city Kyiv".
