Late September

In late September a collection of dance, music, drama, multimedia and many other art forms will be performed in a large-scale epic called "Revival Road", which expresses the Chinese people's journey toward national independence.

Evening of September 30

On the evening of September 30 the State Council will hold a grand National Day reception at the Great Hall.

Morning of October 1

On the following morning of October 1, at Tiananmen Square President Hu Jintao will open the proceedings with a speech. A military parade followed by civilian activities and pagentry will ensue.

Evening of October 1

In the evening, singing and dancing events in a celebratory theme are planned. State and party leaders will gather at the gate of Tiananmen for a large fireworks display.

October 1 to 3

On October 1 to 3, National Day activities will be held in major parks and public green areas of all districts and counties in Beijing.

Mid-October

In mid-October, the Beijing Exhibition Center will hold the The People's Republic of China 60th Anniversary Exhibition.
