I would say that is  an occasion for celebration, not only for the People's Republic of China, the founding of this modern state of China, but also in Pakistan because Pakistan and China have been very close friends and allies for the past 6 decades. I would also like to say that it should be an occasion for celebration for ... Asia and the world because China in the past 30 years, especially, has turned into a pillar of strength for the international community. Therefore I think collectively the international community should celebrate the founding of the People's Republic of China.

We had some events in France, some events in Beijing to commemorate the anniversary proper. We are having cultural festivals throughout China ... and this years addition will be even more visible and important than in previous years. We will have over 150 events and performances in 21 cities in China. So, this is one of the contributions that we wish to bring here because it illustrates the quality of the relationship. We can bring beautiful things, and exciting things also  for all generations ... so I am very confident that this particular illustration of what we can do together will be a great success.

I would like to say that China has undergone a very impressive development in the past 60 years and in particular for the last 30 years. That I can see China is still developing very rapidly. That is a development that we highly welcome. We see the development of China as a great opportunity, for China, of course, but also for the world. And therefore I would like to wish China and Chinese people all the best, also, for the next 60 years.
