The National Tourism Administration published an urgent notice in the morning of April 27, 2009, requiring that travel agencies pay close attention to the influenza A(H1N1) epidemic developments and take preventive actions, and tourists strictly observe relevant provisions, and not take any forbidden articles from the human-infected influenza A(H1N1) regions.
The National Tourism Administration has provided the following tips for the tourism safety in the recent period, subject to the Urgent Notice on Preventing the Human-infected influenza A(H1N1) Epidemic from Spreading into Our Country published by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (2009 No. 30) and the Notice on Preventing the influenza A(H1N1) in Mexico and America from Spreading into Our Country issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the Ministry of Agriculture (2009 No. 31):
1. If any tourist from the human-infected influenza A(H1N1) epidemic regions has the influenza-like symptom, he shall actively make an oral declaration to the entry-exit inspection and quarantine institution when entering China. If any domestic and overseas tourist has been to the epidemic region in the past two weeks and had the influenza-like symptoms after the entry, he shall contact the local entry-exit inspection and quarantine institution in time.
2. If any tourist wants to travel to the human-infected influenza A(H1N1) epidemic regions, he may obtain the epidemic information on the regions from the entry-exit inspection and quarantine institution and its international tourism health center, and take personal protective measures. In the case of relevant symptoms during or after the travel, the tourist shall immediately see a doctor, and declare to the inspection and quarantine institution when entering China.
3. The tourists are required to strictly observe relevant provisions, and not to take any forbidden articles from the human-infected swine epidemic regions.
4. Tourism institutions shall pay close attention to the status of the domestic and overseas tourists from the epidemic regions when receiving them, and assist them to contact relevant departments and go to hospital when finding the influenza-like symptoms. When building a travel group bound for the epidemic region, a travel agency shall inform the tourists of the epidemic information and remind tourists to take personal protection measures.
