Notes on wearing surgical masks (be sure to wash the hands before and after putting on the masks):

1. Make the mask contact the face closely:

(1) Make the colored side outside, and the side with the metal piece upward;

(2) Fasten the string used to fix the mask, or wind the rubber band of the mask around the ears to make the mask contact the face closely;

(3) The mask shall cover the mouth, nose and jaw completely;

(4) Press the metal piece of the mask along both sides of the bridge of nose to make the mask contact the face closely;

2. Avoid touching the mask after putting on the mask to ensure the protective function; when it is necessary to touch the mask, be sure to wash the hands completely before and after the contact;

3. Try not to touch the outside part of the mask when taking off the mask, because this part may have been contaminated by the bacteria;

4. After taking off the mask, put the mask into a plastic bag or paper bag, and wrap it to throw it into a covered dust bin; and 

5. The surgical mask shall be replaced at least every day, and be replaced immediately in the case of any damage or contamination.
