Single foreign adopters can adopt Chinese children unless they meet the conditions mentioned in the Adoption Laws. In accordance with the principle that "the adoption should benefit the growth of the minor adoptee", it is better for the adoptee to live with parents in a sound adoptive families. Therefore, China Adoption Affairs Center will usually select foreign adoptive families with parents to be the adoptive targets instead of single adopters.
