Man Jian-min was born on Aug.14,1945; birth place: Shandong province. Beijing Class A Artistic Master.

In 1962, he entered into Beijing carved lacquer ware factory. He learned carving lacquer technique from master Liu jin-bo and Master Du bing-chen. He is good at carving landscape, animals with hollow sculpture workmanship , round-carving. Man Jian-min breakthrough the traditional carving method . special sculpture the birds, flowers and some animals with hollow carving technique. He has formed his own character carving style. His carved lacquer works often used for reference of Chinese traditional paintings` results, carving carefully, exquisite handicrafts. Many his carved lacquer works is to be chosen fine artistic works.

In 1989,the works of "Sea Animals Picture" won the excellent creation prize of Hongkong Fine Arts & Crafts Exhibition.

In 1989, the works of "Squirrel & Grape Round Plate"won the "Gold Cup" of China National Arts & Crafts Hundred Flower Award.

In 1990, carved lacquer works of "Generations of Gourds Plate"awarded China National Hundred Flower Award.
