The beautiful lotus pond in Yuanmingyuan Garden, or "the Old Summer Palace" is usually crowned as a favorite scenic spot for visitors. Now in order to celebrate the CPC anniversary, a lantern festival is officially opened in the park to attract tourists. People can enjoy the lotus flowers by day and beautiful lanterns by night.
The well-designed lanterns not only surprised tourists from all over the country, but also created a certified global record: the largest lotus-shaped light installation in the world. The name "Harmonious Lantern" comes from the 56 small lanterns surrounded the main body, which indicates that different ethnic people are living in a harmonious country.
A tourist said, "I like the lantern. the design is also admirable in the context of this celebration."

The Lantern Festival will run until the end of August, with free shuttle bus service running between the garden and city center. Meanwhile, the organizers donated thousands of entrance tickets to all walks of life, including street cleaners, teachers, police and teenage students.
