Line 1

Beijing Subway Line 1 runs from Pingguoyuan in the west through to Sihui in the east. It is colored standard red. It runs beneath Chang'an Avenue and through the Xidan, Wangfujing and Dongdan commercial districts.
 
Hours of Operation
The first trains departs from Guchenglu at 4:58am and Pingguoyuan at 5:10am. The first train departs Sihui at 4:56am and Sihui East at 5:05am. The last train leaves Pingguoyuan at 10:55pm; the last train leaves Sihui East at 11:15pm.

 

Route
Subway Line 1 follows Chang'an Avenue. The line passes through Xidan, Wangfujing and Dongdan and other commercial centers of Xicheng and Dongcheng Districts, as well as the Beijing CBD near the China World Trade Center.

Line 2

Beijing Subway Line 2 is colored navy blue. The line services areas central to Beijing, including all areas adjacent to the 2nd Ring Road as well as Chongwenmen East Street, Qianmen East Street, Qianmen West Street, Xuanwumen East Street and Xuanwumen West Street.

 

Hours of Operation
The first inner loop train departs Jishuitan at 5:03am. The first outer loop train departs Xizhimen at 5:09am. The last inner loop train leaves Jishuitan at 10:55pm. The last outer loop train leaves Xizhimen at 11:14pm. 

 

Route
Line 2 encircles the old city center districts of Dongcheng and Xicheng and skirts the western edge of Chaoyang. The entire line runs underground and connects with Line 1 at Fuxingmen and Jianguomen, Line 4 at Xizhimen and Xuanwumen, Line 5 at Yonghegong Lama Temple and Chongwenmen, Line 6 at Chegongzhuang and Chaoyangmen, Line 8 at Guloudajie, Line 13 at Xizhimen and Dongzhimen, and the Airport Express at Dongzhimen.

Line 4 (Daxing)

Line 4-Daxing Line

Beijing Subway Line 4 opened on September 28, 2009. It is colored teal. And the Daxing Line opened on December 30, 2010.

Route
Line 4-Daxing Line route runs two types of train service:
A full-route loop that covers the entire Line 4 and Daxing Lines. This train service runs from Anheqiao North, the northern terminus of Line 4, to Tiangongyuan, the southern terminus of the Daxing Line.
A partial-route loop that covers the entire Line 4 route plus one stop on the Daxing Line. This service runs from Anheqiao North to Xingong, the northernmost stop on the newly opened Daxing Line. Travelers wishing to proceed further south on the Daxing Line would have to switch to a south-bound full-route service train.

Line 5

Line 5

Beijing Subway Line 5 is the first north-south Subway line in the city and is colored purple.  It links up with Subway Lines 1, 2, 10 and 13, and will link up with Lines 6, 7, 14, 15 and the Yizhuang Line. Trains on Subway Line 5 run with gaps as short as 3 minutes between trains.

Route
Line 5 is mainly a residential-and-tourist line. It links Tiantongyuan residential community and Fangzhuang-Puhuangyu residential community,Hepingli residential community. It also arrives at Yonghegong Lama Temple, the east gate of Temple of Heaven.

Line 6

Beijing Subway Line 6 serves Bejing city from east to west, approximately parallel to subway line 1. This line allows transfer to lines 2, 4, 9, and 10. Trains arrive approximately every 4 minutes and travel the 83 km (52 miles) line from start to end in 48 minutes at 100km/hour.

Route
Line 6 starts from Haidian Wuluju in the west and proceeds to Chaoyang Caofang in the east, with a length of 32 miles. There are plans to extend the line in both directions: to Shijingshan in the west, and to Tongzhou in the east. With these extensions, it is expected to be 50.67 km long with 32 stations.

Line 7

Beijing Subway Line 5 is the first north-south Subway line in the city and is colored purple.  It links up with Subway Lines 1, 2, 10 and 13, and will link up with Lines 6, 7, 14, 15 and the Yizhuang Line. Trains on Subway Line 5 run with gaps as short as 3 minutes between trains.

Route
Line 7 currently has 19 operational stations and is planned to have a total of 23 stations. The stations have longer platforms that accommodate 8-train cars, longer than existing Beijing subway station platforms which can only accommodate 6-train cars.

Line 8

Line 8

Sitting on the central north-south axis of the city of Beijing, Line 8 joins Huilongguan Dongdajie on the north side and Guloudajie on the south. The line expands along the central axis in both directions. Line 8 veers to the east of the central axis to avoid passing under the Forbidden City and Tian'anmen Square, before returning to the central axis alignment south of the Qianmen station. It links with Subway Lines 2, 10 and 13. Trains run every 5 minutes.

Line 9

Line 9

Beijing Subway Line 9 runs from the National Library to Guogongzhuang in Fengtai District with thirteen stations, from north to south in the southeast part of Beijing City, covering Fengtai and Haidian Districts. It links up with Subway Lines 1, 4, 6, 10 and Fangshan Line. Trains run every 5 minutes.

Route

Line 9 runs from north to south in the southeast part of Beijing City, covering Fengtai and Haidian Districts. It starts from Guogongzhuang Station in Fengtai Districts, passes by Beijing West Railway Station and finally ends at the National Library Station.

Line 10

Line 10

Beijing Subway Line 10 is the second loop line in Beijing's rapid transit network. It is one of the longest completely underground subway lines in the world with 45 stations. As of 2013 it starts from Xiju to reach Shoujingmao. It links with Subway Lines 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 13, Yinzhuang Line and Airport Express. Phase II of line 10 operates local and express services. Express services operate from Chedaogou to Songjiazhuang at a maximum frequency of 2 minutes 30 seconds while regular services operate between Shoujingmao and Xiju at 3 minutes 45 second intervals.
 
Hours of Operation
The first train on the inner (clockwise) loop departs from Xiju towards Shoujingmao at 5:20am. The first train on the outer (counter-clockwise) loop departs from Shoujingmao towards Xiju at 6:12am. The last inner loop train leaves Xiju for Bagou at 11:29pm. The last outer loop train leaves Shoujingmao for Chedaogou at 11:06pm.
 
Route
Line 10 runs mainly through residential and office areas (especially Zhongguancun and the CBD). Line 10 links to Bus Rapid Transit Line 2 (Chaoyang Road BRT) at Jintaixizhao station (exit B) and Bus Rapid Transit Line 3 (Anli Road BRT) at Anzhenmen station.

Beijing Subway Line 13 runs from Dongzhimen via Lishuiqiao and Huoying through to Xizhimen, passing through much of northern Beijing on its route. It is colored standard yellow.

Line 14 (West)

Line 14 (West)

Line 14 (West) of the Beijing Subway is a rapid transit rail line in southwest Beijing. As of February 15, 2014, the line is 12.4 km in length with 7 stations, and is operated by the Beijing MTR Corp. Ltd. The line is being extended to run across the southern and eastern fringes of urban Beijing from Zhangguozhuang west of the Yongding River in the southwest corner of the city to Shan'gezhuang in the northeast corner. When fully completed, Line 14 will be 47.7 km in length and have 36 stations.

Route
The precise route of Line 14 has been revised several times and is still subject to change even as construction on Phase I gets underway. Line 14 is certain to begin in the southwest at Dongheyan Lu, just west of the Yongding River, pass through Beijing South Station, where platforms for Line 14 have already been built, and eventually reach Wangjing.

Line 14 (East) is being extended to run across the southern and eastern fringes of urban Beijing from Zhangguozhuang west of the Yongding River in the southwest corner of the city to Shan'gezhuang in the northeast corner. When fully completed, Line 14 will be 47.7 km in length and have 36 stations. Line 14 is the first metro line in Beijing to use high-capacity wide-body A-Type trains.

Route
The central section continues on Lize Lu inside the 3rd Ring Road and then meet Line 4 at the Beijing South Railway Station. After passing the Beijing University of Technology, the central section will cross Line 7 at Jiulongshan and Line 1, at Dawang Lu. The eastern section of Line 14 begins and runs due north, through the Chaoyang Park. Upon leaving the 4th Ring Road, Line 14 enters the vast Wangjing neighborhood. The line bisects Wangjing from south to north on Guangshun Nan and Bei Dajie and intersects with Line 15 at the heart of Wangjing. After leaving Wangjing, the line emerges north of the 5th Ring Road and terminates at Shan'gezhuang.

Line 15

Beijing Subway Line 15 runs from Beishatan in Chaoyang District to Fengbo in Shunyi District. Line 15 tunnels will be up to 38 metres (125 ft) underground, making them the deepest in Beijing's subway system. Trains run every five minutes during the rush hour, with a journey from Fengbo to Qinghuadongluxikou Station taking 60 minutes.

Changping Line

Changping Line

Changping Line is a half elevated, half underground rapid transit line in northern Beijing, extending the line northwards to the Thirteen Tombs Scenic Area and terminating at Changping Xishankou station. It now connects the central Changping District with the Beijing subway network.

Yizhuang Line connects Yizhuang Industrial Park with Beijing's subway network. The line is 23.23 kilometres (14.43 mi) long with 14 stations.

Airport Line

Airport Express

Beijing Subway Airport Express line (ABC) opened on July 19, 2008 and links central Beijing with the airport. It is colored faint, dark purple. Fare: RMB 25.

 

Hours of Operation
Dongzhimen Subway Station: 06:00 -22:30
Beijing Capital International Airport Terminal 3: 06:21- 22:51
Beijing Capital International Airport Terminal 2: 06:35 -23:10
Service intervals are 15 minutes to start with and the entire trip takes around 16 minutes from Terminal 3 or 25 minutes from Terminal 2.

 

Route
The line runs from Central Beijing -- Dongzhimen (interchange with Lines 2 and 13) and Sanyuanqiao (interchange with Line 10 to Beijing Capital International Airport Terminal 3 and Terminal 2; passengers for Terminal 1 need to use the transfer passageway at Terminal 2.
