The Capital Museum is based on complete and advanced equipment and facilities and operated in accordance with the principle of "human service concept".

Reception The Capital Museum has multi-language reception and consultation, luggage-storage counters, public watering place, chairs for rest, parking lots for motor and non-motor vehicles. Tour guide and interpretation The museum provides the public with free multi-language view guide maps, color papers of exhibition introduction both in Chinese and English; multi-language explanation and special expert explanation; touch screen consulting computers, multi-language intelligent audio tour guide and multi-language personal digital assistants (PDA) tour guide initially adopted in China.

Giant screen in the Central Ritual Hall The museum has adopted full-color giant screen of the highest definition in the world to display introductions to exhibitions in the museum, temporary exhibitions and digital films of historical scenery spots in Beijing, and double primary-color giant screen to display information on exhibitions and services in the form of characters.

Leisure Service Facilities such as the dinner restaurant, coffee houses, tea bar, souvenir shop, bookshop, ATM, postbox and public telephones are available. 

Souvenir Service Area:
The centralized comprehensive souvenir shop is located in the southwest of the basement with about 550 square meters. The licensed products of the Beijing Olympic Games, the souvenir with the characteristics of the Capital Museum, books, and audio-visual products are the main composition of the shop.

Dining hall:
Jian dining hall is located in the east of one floor below basement of the museum (near to the round exhibition hall) with about 300 square meters. The sunshine falls on the dining hall through the silver skeleton construction and the clear glass wall, making the hall full of warmth. Jian dining hall provides nearly 200 seats and abundant dishes for the guests' convenience. 

Coffee hall is located in the northeast corner of one floor below basement of the round exhibition hall with about 200 square meters. The unique round shape bronze wall surface and the comfortable modern furniture create a harmonious balance between tradition and modern while providing an environment for leisure and ease. The operation of the coffee hall includes coffee, low alcoholic drink and the like. At present, the coffee hall can offer the set for visits.

Xichuangzhu tea house is located in the 2nd platform of the square exhibition hall in the west of the museum with over 100 square meters. It is bordered by the body glass curtain wall on the west and faces to the bamboo and grove courtyard on the east. Combining Chinese and Western style, the design of the tea house is simple but elegant, which is a good place for having a rest and tasting tea.
