Shengtangxuan (High Tang House)

The sun shines through the red door, bright door cymbals and engraved walls on old men playing chess under phoenix or pagoda trees, children running around, people lying on cane chair with a cup of green tea or wine at hand or reading old books. You’ll know it’s Beijing. These constitute life in the Courtyards, quiet and simple, but very real and gorgeous.

Introduction: Shengtangxuan aims to save and develop traditional folk art. The old Tang, the founder of Shengtangxuan, can make all kinds of tools with different types of materials. The house, more than 30 square meters in size, displays all kinds of old Beijing folk art works, and also irregularly displays some unique works.
Main features: handmade folk artworks (Cornucopia, lantern, gold colt, rabbit figurines, opera figurines, monkeys)
