When you stand amid the sea of flowers in the parks, you will be aware that spring has come to every corners of this northern capital and flowers are blooming so splendidly. They either greet you bluntly or grow between red walls and green tiles to show the vitality of the spring. They are the messenger of the spring to invite you to relax your body and soul and merge into nature.

Peach blossoms

Peak time of blooming: mid April to early May
Best place for enjoying the beauty of the flowers: Pinggu Peach Sea and Beijing Botanic  Garden

See the flowers horizontally and look down for the sea --- in mid April, you can see peach blossoms after walking for five steps and enter the flowery sea after ten steps in the mountainous area in the north of Pinggu. You can appreciate peach forests of different sizes from different angles and see delicate details of the flower beauties in a short distance or watch their profiles from afar for different charms.

How to arrive there: It's suggested to go there by private car as the 70-km road starting from downtown is always in good condition for driving along. To be specific: drive along Airport Expressway, past the airport Terminal 1 and then drive along Shunyi-Pinggu Expressway, which will lead you right there. If you choose to go there by bus, you can go to Dongzhimen to take Bus 918 to Pinggu and return on the same day in the same way.
