2008 Zhongguancun Forum to be held in Beijing

 

The 2008 Zhongguancun Forum, jointly organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Beijing municipal government, will be held in Beijing on November 14.

With the theme of "Technology - Global Innovation Challenge", the forum will be held on the four topics of the Technological Development Trends; Global Innovation Areas; Innovation Cooperation and Win-Win Solutions; and Technology and Finance.

Zores Alferov, a Nobel Laureate in Physics; Roger Kornberg, a winner of Nobel Prize in Chemistry; as well as experts and professors from Stanford University, Jonkoping University, National University of Singapore, and University of Science and Technology Beijing will attend the event.

The Zhongguancun Science Park has established strategic cooperative relationships with other international science and technology parks, such as the Kansai Science Park in Japan, the Daedeok Science Park in South Korea, and the SophiaAntipolis Science Park in France. The 2008 Zhongguancun Forum is aimed at expanding exchanges with international science parks and promoting cooperation.
