Chinese traditional sport and Olympic sport were two sport systems which are dramatically different in essence. Whereas as time went by, the conflict between Olympic movement and Chinese sport as well as its social background was dropping off, and at the same time the communication between the two increased. In 1979, when China went back to the Olympic family, Chinese sport contacted, communicated and interfused with the Olympics in an unprecedented scope and made remarkable achievement. Beijing winning the bid of holding the 2008 olympic Games most conspicuously indicated that the Olympic movement was further developed in China.
