Hi my name is Richard. I am a high school student. My greatest interest is to know people, to interact with them and to exchange backgrounds and thoughts with them. Therefore, the voluntary job at eBeijing attracted me with brilliant social events and varied interviewing activities, which help me make friends with people all over the world.
Being a newly grown-up now, it is time for me to stride into society in front of me. The future is paved with unknowns, whereas I am sure that I will find the true paradise at the other edge of the world. When I started working at eBeijing, I found the voluntary work of utmost significance. The website, the project, the whole stuff enthralled me with inspiration and motivation. Interviewing others and writing blogs become my monthly necessities which are great opportunities I must cherish. So I start my journey, in pursuit of the 'true paradise', right here in this brand new world. |

| Beijing Foreign Language Festival 2011 |
On Oct. 15, Beijing Foreign Language Festival 2011 kicked off in the city’s Working People's Cultural Palace。
Hosts from CRI were coming! I couldn't believe their arrival at Beijing Foreign Language Festival 2011. It was at Beijing Working People's Cultural Palace on Oct. 15 and 16, and they were inviting participants from more than ten foreign countries to build conversations in English. Nice.
A woman was playing the violin at the opening ceremony of the Festival. The stage might seem small, but the ceremony was really huge. I only hope I were there, to feel the melodious beauty and English atmosphere. |

Look, it was Ipad Music Band! I have an Ipad myself, but never thinking of holding a band by it! Fantastically, it showed the high-developed technology in our lives, giving the Closing Ceremony of 2nd Zhongguancun Sci.and Edu. Tourism Festival on Sept. 5 a great surprise, but not surprising enough to shock the people from Zhongguancun, Haidian. Because Zhongguancun is the center of high-tech industry and institutions, leading the direction of electronic science in Beijing.

| Fenghuangling Nature Park |
Fenghuangling, means 'Mountains of Phoenix' in Chinese, is a renowned touring spot filled with entertainment, health fitness(like hot spa) and cultural exploration in Haidian. 2011 Western Hills Tourism Festival was held right here. It lies in Sujiatuo Town in northwest Haidian District which enjoys good bio-environment. You can enjoy flowers in three of four seasons and beautiful scenes all year round in the park. It’s an ideal place for you to go for a walk in spring, stay away from the heat in summer, get fruits in autumn and enjoy snows in winter.
I've been to Fenghuangling years ago, but not in winter, when chilly gusts blowing snow pieces along the ridge, forming a wonderful fantasy-land of frost and crystal.
How to get there: take subway line 4 to Beigongmen Station (the north gate of the Summer Palace), then switched to bus No 346 and got off at the terminal station.
What a snug tent! 'Western Hills, Leisure Life' is the theme of 2011 Western Hills Tourism Festival, which holds various activities include Premiere ceremony of Western Hills Rambling, Treasure Hunt at Western Hills, Bicycle Riding, and Nordic Hiking Camp.
