ˇ°The Mirror of the Agesˇ±

The exhibition shows more than 80 masterpieces of Italian art from Milan to Rome and from Venice to Naples, dating from the late 13th Century to the 19th Century. The exhibition includes works by Botticelli, Mantegna, Leonardo, Raffaello, Andrea Del Sarto, Bronzino, Caravaggio, Guercino and Longhi. Among the works are 11 paintings that have never before been exhibited, from the Bardini collection.

The highlight of the exhibition is an early work of Leonardo da Vinci, showing the face of an ideal woman, probably drawn as a model for an adoring Virgin Mary. This masterpiece will be shown in a special container produced by the Goppion company, specially delivered to China for this event. Curated by Gianni Bulian, with multimedia elements by Roberto Creton. The exhibition synthesizes through images the cultural and intellectual contribution of Italy to the development of Western thought from the Middle Ages to modern times.
