Delegation of on-going "2005 China Tibetan Culture Week" in Italy gave lectures in Rome University on September 19.

A comprehensive introduction of Tibetan development in economy, society, religion, culture and other aspects through the lectures was given by Tibet experts and Living Buddhas.

Tsewang Gyurme, president and deputy researcher of the Academy of Social Sciences of the Tibet Autonomous Region cited vivid instances in illustration of the changes in Tibetan society in this half century. Sutra (scripture) teacher of Sera Monastery Lhabu gave a lecture on the Tibetan religion history and present situation.

Besides the lectures, exchanges and constructive dialogues were achieved between the delegation and Italian scholars, further cooperation on Tibetan language teaching is expected to be developed.
