The Bird’s Nest

The main body of the Bird’s Nest is 333 meters long, 296 meters wide; the height from the ground to the highest point is 69.2 meters while the height from the ground to the lowest point is 40.1 meters. The outer structure was built with multi-groups of hollow square shaped steel columns welding together. The Exhibition includes such contents as Venue Construction Sci-Tech, Venue Construction Process, Props Used for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Beijing Olympic Games, Olympic Stories, the Wax Work Museum of All Previous IOC Presidents, Bird’s Nest Signature Events, Secrets Revealing of the Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremony, Olympic Games Venue Constructors etc.

Directions: Take Bus No. 82, 538 or 611 to east of the National Stadium Stop; or take Bus 83, 85 or 86 to the National Gymnasium; or take Subway Line 8 and get off at Olympic Park.
Open Hour: Free during 8:30-15:30 on May 19, September 27. Charge at other hours. Admission is RMB 50.
Reservation: Only accept group reservation.
Capacity: More than 300 people. Each batch of visitor should visit no longer than 1 hour.
Service: Free brochure and on-site commentary in Chinese.
